Paulo Alexandre Bernardo Fernandes, born in June 5, 1972, has a degree in International Relations from the Instituto Superior de Ciências Sociais e Politicas of the Technical University of Lisbon and a Master in "European Studies and Human Rights" from the University of Salamanca, with a specialization in Regional and Local Development.
Paulo Fernandes pursued a professional career as a consultant specialized in regional and local development, having coordinated several integrated development projects under programs such as PROVERE, PRODER, INTEGRAR, POEDS, RURIS, AIBT, among others. Currently, Paulo Fernandes is the Mayor of the Municipality of Fundão, having previously occupied the function of Vice-President and Councilman of areas such as development, investment, entrepreneurship, innovation, tourism, sport, culture or social action.
In addtion, Paulo Fernandes is President of the Schist Villages Network and President of the General Assembly of the Aldeias Históricas de Portugal, of which he is the founder.
